Guidelines for Service Hours
1.) The hour(s) must only count for NJHS. Mrs. Dunn refers to this as no double dipping.
Example: If I am required to work a car wash for a fundraiser for my summer softball team I can not also count it as my NJHS hours. It needs to count for one or the other but not for both.
2.) Keep track along the way so Mrs. Dunn can monitor your progress.
3.) Be sure to include an artifact as proof and the number of hours you volunteered for each event.
Dismissal from NJHS
Within the year, if you do not meet an NJHS requirement you will be given a warning. Once you have reached three warnings a formal letter will be sent officially dismissing from NJHS.
