Retaking a Summative

To promote mastery, students are allowed to retake each concept on the math summative one time.

Guidelines are as follows:

              1. Any student that did not earn a 4 on all concepts is allowed to retake the Unit Summative

              2. All assignments for that standard must be completed and turned in prior to retakes.

              3. Students must complete a reflection and correction following the  summative

              4.  Students are allowed to retake one concept at a time or multiple concepts at once

              5.  Retakes begin two days after the summative is given and are offered for three days

     6.  Students do not have to retake the whole test but instead can focus on only the                                 concepts they did not earn a 4 on.

     7. Students do not have to complete the whole concepts but only need to complete the                          problem they missed.

     8. Any improvements the student makes will be recorded and students will not be                                penalized  if they do not improve.

     9.  Additional retake dates will only be added in the event of an absence.

     10. Tests will not be identical but will cover the same concepts.

     11.  Must have Retake packet including: Retake Form, Summative, Rubric, Study Plan, & EOS.

     12. Student must complete Evidence of Study for each problem they missed and staple it to                retake packet.
